level 1
Beginner
Maybe played once or twice, overall new to the sport: Depending on age, lessons focus on introducing important concepts and fundamentals like proper grip, contact point, and footwork, as well as introducing technical abilities like groundstrokes and volleys, with the goal of creating a solid platform to build off of and grow as a player.

level 2
Intermediate
Has an entry-level skillset, may have taken lessons here or elsewhere: Lessons focus on building off of the base-level skillset players may have. Concepts like court positioning and shot selection will be introduced and developed as well as technical abilities like topspin, slice, and net-game with the overall goal of developing old skills and introducing new ones.

level 3
Advanced
Played tennis for multiple years, solid and consistent shots, potentially beginning to play matches or tournaments: This level focuses on refining the skills learned at the beginner and intermediate levels and becoming a more well-rounded tennis player. At this level, players are also introduced to matchplay tactics, with the goal of integrating all beginner and intermediate skills with newly learned strategies to become a better overall player.
About Me
Hi, my name is Henry Lock. I am a varsity tennis athlete in my sophomore year, a high honors student, and French Horn player at Hopkinton High School. As a younger player I always looked up to the older players on the tennis team and aspired to be like them. Now, being on the team myself, my goal is to pass on that same skillset and inspiration down to the younger generation which not only made tennis fun, but made me want to get better! I am achieving this goal by creating comprehensive and personalized lessons that are tailored to you or your child's age and skill level. No matter where you are starting from, my goal is that you will be in a better spot than where you started by the end of each lesson, even if it's just a little bit!
